Welcome to Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology

Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology (DUIET) as a constituent college of Dibrugarh University was established in year 2009. The four year Bachelor of Technology programmes offered by the institute aims to produce and empower young minds who would shine in the future as versatile engineers and contribute to the industrial sectors of the North-Eastern region in particular and the country in general. At present, DUIET offers B.Tech programmes in four branches, namely Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering with intake capacity of 60 students per branch. All the four branches are duly approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).

DUIET, as an integral part of the University, since its inception, has been endeavoring to impart quality education through an energetic team of highly skilled and experienced faculty. The institute is well-equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories and workshops with all the modern amenities and highly qualified technical instructors.

DUIET is housed in an ultra-modern campus within the University, which itself is spread over a sprawling area of about more than 500 acres offering a lush green as well as picturesque surroundings. It is well linked by roads, rail, air and waterways. The National Highway No. 37 passes through the University campus. The nearest airport viz. Mohanbari, is at a distance of 15 kms from the University and the nearest railway station, Dibrugarh Town, which is situated in the heart of the town, is at a mere distance of 5 km from the University Campus.
